Sunday, September 20th, 2015
On September 20 th , 2015, United Foundation for China’s Health (UFCH) organized the “2015 Run for Hope” charity run with the 2015 Beijing International Marathon. 200 runners of all ages, including a 62-year-old runner, participated in the charity run.
Thanks to the generous donation from over 2500 donors, close to 400,000 RMB was raised throughthe United Family Charitable Fund (registered under the Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China). The funds raised from this event directly benefits five children from foster homes and orphanages we partner with. These orphans are in need of critical medical care and life-transforming surgeries. The quality healthcare they receive will improve their quality of life, as well as enhance their chances to be adopted and be part of a loving family. This is the fourth year UFCH is organizing the charity run. The full marathon started from Tian’anmen Square and ended near the Bird’s Nest.
