Patient Advocate
Do you love children? Do you want to give back and help the children of China? Then being a Patient Advocate is the opportunity for you. A PA accompanies children with their caregiver from local foster homes to clinic visits, helps them to complete registration paperwork and to understand physician’s instructions. In addition the PA completes internal documentation for the Foundation database. A PA can be on call or choose a designated time to be in office. Chinese or English speaking.

Fundraising Events and Marketing
Love to plan events? UFCH is looking for volunteers to help represent the Foundation, raise its awareness, and help organize our events. UFCH hosts a team in the Beijing Marathon, holds family events to raise funds for surgeries and medical care, hosts auctions and is always welcoming of new ideas.
Love to Write? We are also in need of grant writers. As a grant writer this position will help research and identify institutions both local and international to apply for grants that will help support the work of our Foundation. This position can be remote or in office. We are also in need of English and Chinese Editors. At the Foundation we have many documents, newsletter articles and website updates that need editing. This position can be done remotely or at the office.
We also need support posting articles and pictures and ensure that our website and social media sites are kept up to date. This position is flexible and can be in office or remotely handled.

UFCH also accepts donations of gently used toys, clothes, blankets or other children’s articles as well as online cash donations.

The Foundation needs someone who understands US accounting methods to help enter data on a weekly basis and keep our records up to date. This position is best held in office, but remote might work if needed.

Looking to spend your month, summer, or year abroad with a dynamic organization that helps children and adults access vital medical care? We are looking for a few stellar interns to help us with a variety of projects.
Interns will gain well-rounded experience in many areas, including: coordinating and implementing programs and events, writing for our newsletter, helping with our social media presence, visiting with patients to help us record their health information, general office management, and exposure to a hospital setting.
This internship is well suited for individuals seeking careers in fields such as marketing, public relations, non-profit management, business, and hospital administration. We have internships based in Beijing and Shanghai.
