Wheels for Life launch

United Foundation for China’s Health (UFCH) successfully introduced the Wheels for Life program on November 10, 2015. The launch event was attended by our donors and partners including Sylvia Pan (Beijing United Family Hospital), Yang Ning (General Electric), Michael Crain (Chifan for Charity), Judith Salerno (Susan G. Komen Foundation), Diana Zhang (Goldman Sachs) and Zhou Jun (HCP at AmCham).
The first-of-its-kind health bus that serves as a mobile clinic, bringing healthcare to underserved women and children living in orphanages, foster homes and migrant schools located in the rural outskirts of Beijing. The Wheels for Life health bus offers a variety of health screening services, including cervical and breast cancer screenings. To facilitate the breast cancer screenings, the health bus is equipped with an advanced ultrasound machine – ABUS Invenia GE ABUS. The Wheels for Life bus went on its inaugural trip on November 18 th , 2015, to a migrant school in Da Xing district. This initiative is another program to affirm HFCH’s commitment to serve the local community by providing healthcare to all.
